Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced flooring contractors with the preparation of work sites, including demolition, subfloor preparation, and material organization.
- Learn and apply various flooring installation techniques for hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet under direct supervision.
- Safely use and maintain hand and power tools common in flooring installation.
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit flooring materials according to project specifications.
- Handle and transport materials efficiently and safely on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and potential issues.
- Participate actively in all training sessions and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and improve skills.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
