Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and reliable Entry Level Flooring Installer Helper to join our growing crew in Palm Valley, Goodyear. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to gain hands-on training from seasoned professionals in the flooring industry. You’ll be assisting our lead installers with various tasks, learning the ins and outs of different flooring types – including hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, and carpet – and contributing directly to the successful completion of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with the preparation of subfloors, including cleaning, leveling, and minor repairs.
  • Handle and transport various flooring materials (wood planks, tile boxes, carpet rolls, etc.) to and from job sites.
  • Learn to accurately measure, cut, and fit flooring materials under direct supervision.
  • Help with the installation process, including securing materials, applying adhesives, and grouting.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Perform general site cleanup, including sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines on every job site.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, asking questions and offering support.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to different project requirements.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic understanding of measurements and angles (willingness to learn more).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in construction, general labor, or a related trade is a plus but not required.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation to our shop or job sites.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
