Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Food Runners to join our dynamic team at Guild Park and Gardens, Toronto. In this crucial role, you will be the bridge between our culinary artists and our valued guests, ensuring every dish is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. As a Food Runner, you will support our front-of-house staff by meticulously organizing and delivering food orders from the kitchen directly to our guests’ tables. You’ll be responsible for understanding table numbers, dish descriptions, and any special dietary requirements to guarantee correct order delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and safely transport food orders from the kitchen to designated tables.
  • Ensure all dishes are accurately prepared and presented according to quality standards before delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order readiness and special instructions.
  • Collaborate with servers to ensure timely and correct food delivery, assisting with table setup and clearing as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas, including plate warmers and utensil stations.
  • Address guest inquiries politely and promptly, or direct them to the appropriate server.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for new guests when required.
  • Learn and memorize menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to better assist guests and servers.
