Your daily remit will encompass loading and unloading incoming and outgoing delivery vehicles, meticulously stacking and rotating stock within designated areas, and rigorously ensuring inventory integrity through accurate record-keeping and scanning procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate counterbalance and reach forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently and accurately.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure accurate stock rotation and placement, maintaining an organised warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including scanning and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimise workflow.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment within the warehouse.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Valid and in-date Forklift Operator license (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS for Counterbalance and Reach).
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 12 months).
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with various types of goods handling and storage techniques.
