Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our growing team as a Forklift Operator in Surrey, British Columbia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of goods within our facility, playing a crucial role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and staging materials, ensuring accuracy and adhering to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts (reach, counterbalance, or similar equipment, post-training) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products, ensuring proper handling and care.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
  • Assist with inventory management, including counting, locating, and organizing stock within the warehouse.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as provincial regulations, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet daily production targets.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to material movement and inventory.
  • Support other warehouse duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.

Required Skills

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes quickly.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, complete forms, and count inventory.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial setting (non-forklift related is also valued).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems or basic computer skills.
