Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to strengthen our warehouse operations in Seaton, Aberdeen. Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) safely and efficiently to move products, equipment, and materials.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of goods.
- Stack and store goods in appropriate warehouse locations, optimising space utilisation.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Wrap and prepare orders for shipping as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator license/certification (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting.
- Proficient in operating counterbalance and/or reach trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying when necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of various material handling equipment beyond forklifts.
- First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
