Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Proactively identify and solicit new business opportunities and client accounts.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with both clients and transportation providers.
- Match freight loads with available carriers efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of freight movements, from booking to delivery.
- Ensure timely communication with clients and carriers regarding shipment status and potential delays.
- Resolve any issues, disputes, or challenges that arise during transit promptly.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant software for optimal operations.
- Stay informed about market trends, freight rates, and industry regulations.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics sales role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong negotiation, sales, and communication skills.
