Key Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed design blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan project execution.
- Select appropriate wood species and materials, ensuring quality, grain, and structural integrity.
- Perform precise measurement, cutting, shaping, and sanding of wood components using hand tools and power machinery (e.g., table saws, jointers, planers, routers).
- Execute various joinery techniques, including dovetails, mortise and tenon, dowel, and biscuit joints, to ensure structural soundness and aesthetic appeal.
- Assemble furniture components with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring alignment and stability.
- Apply various finishes such as stains, lacquers, oils, and waxes, achieving desired aesthetic and protective qualities.
- Conduct thorough quality checks at each stage of production to ensure superior craftsmanship and adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to all safety protocols and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with design teams and clients to understand project requirements and provide expert input on material selection and construction methods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the construction process, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
