As a General Construction Worker, you will be an integral part of our project teams, supporting various construction activities across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespeople, maintaining a clean and organized worksite, and learning fundamental construction techniques. This role is physically demanding, requiring stamina, strength, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople with various tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment manually or using basic tools.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and operate small hand and power tools safely.
- Set up and break down temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions.
- Support site supervisors with general labour tasks as needed to keep projects on schedule.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team culture on the job site.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- Basic understanding of safety practices or a strong commitment to learning them.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in any manual labour role.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- WHMIS and Fall Protection certifications (we can assist with obtaining these).
