Key Responsibilities
- Perform various physical tasks on job sites, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
- Assist skilled tradespersons and other team members as required.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
- Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Dig trenches, shovel, and perform other manual excavation tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders accurately and promptly.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up equipment for projects.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and practices.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various job site demands.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Familiarity with construction sites, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification.
