Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and supervise geological field programs including mapping, prospecting, and sampling (rock, soil, stream sediment).
- Manage and log diamond drill core, ensuring accurate geological interpretations and data collection.
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to generate and refine exploration targets.
- Develop and maintain robust 3D geological models using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, cross-sections, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all field activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior geologists and field technicians.
- Contribute to project budgeting, scheduling, and logistical planning.
- Conduct literature reviews and desktop studies to identify new exploration opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geophysicists, geochemists, and metallurgists.
Required Skills
- Strong geological mapping and structural interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in core logging and sampling procedures.
- Experience with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, ArcGIS).
