Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor grain handling equipment including conveyors, dryers, scales, and related machinery.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing grain for quality, moisture content, and cleanliness.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Load and unload trucks, railcars, and other transportation methods accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of grain movement, inventory, and quality data.
- Assist with general facility upkeep and grounds maintenance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
- Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions and environments (e.g., dust, noise, elevated heights).
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and following instructions.
