As a Greenhouse Worker, you’ll be involved in the daily routines that keep our plants thriving. This hands-on role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of greenhouse management, from propagation and planting to harvesting and packaging. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily watering and fertilization of plants according to established schedules and guidelines.
- Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting various crops and ornamental plants.
- Monitor plant health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse, including sweeping, sanitizing, and tidying work areas.
- Prepare and package products for shipment or distribution, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate basic hand tools and greenhouse equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Support inventory management by counting and tracking plant materials and supplies.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and instructions.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English.
