Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily watering and fertilization tasks according to established schedules and plant needs.
- Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, and potting various plants, seedlings, and cuttings.
- Monitor plant health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or deficiencies to supervisors.
- Execute integrated pest management (IPM) strategies as directed, including manual pest removal.
- Prepare plants for shipment and sale, which includes cleaning, sorting, grading, and packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized greenhouse environment, including sweeping, tidying work areas, and sanitizing tools and equipment.
- Operate basic greenhouse machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Handle inventory and assist with loading/unloading plant materials and supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets and ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods (e.g., bending, standing, lifting).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in various greenhouse conditions (e.g., heat, humidity).
