Job Description

Are you an individual who takes immense pride in their work, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming outdoor spaces? Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our dynamic Park & Facility Maintenance team in Aspley, Nottingham. This is a pivotal role for someone committed to upholding the beauty, safety, and functionality of our diverse grounds, including public parks, community green spaces, and corporate facility landscapes.

As a Groundskeeper, you will be at the heart of maintaining the pristine appearance and health of our outdoor environments. Your daily efforts will directly contribute to creating welcoming and safe spaces for residents, visitors, and employees alike. You will perform a comprehensive range of grounds maintenance duties, ensuring all areas are kept to the highest standards. This includes the meticulous upkeep of lawns, shrubberies, flowerbeds, pathways, and general site amenities.

A typical day will involve operating a variety of landscaping equipment, from ride-on mowers and strimmers to leaf blowers and hedge trimmers, all while adhering to stringent health and safety guidelines. You’ll be responsible for turf management, including mowing, edging, and aeration, as well as horticultural tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching. Beyond the aesthetic, your role will extend to practical facility maintenance, undertaking minor repairs to irrigation systems, fencing, and playground equipment, ensuring everything is in optimal working order. Waste management, litter picking, and debris removal will also be key aspects, maintaining cleanliness and order across all assigned sites.

We are looking for someone who is not only proficient with the tools of the trade but also possesses a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs before they escalate. You will work closely with your team, collaborating to ensure efficient task completion and a cohesive approach to grounds management. Your ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and adapt to varying weather conditions will be crucial for success in this role. If you are passionate about environmental care, committed to excellence, and ready to make a tangible difference in the outdoor spaces of Aspley, Nottingham, we encourage you to apply.
