Hiring.zycto is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Gym Manager to lead our state-of-the-art facility in Cooksville, Mississauga. As our Gym Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our operations, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the gym’s daily function. Your primary objective will be to ensure an exceptional member experience while driving sales, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a positive, high-performance work environment for our dedicated team. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance membership growth, retention, and overall club profitability. This role demands a proactive leader who can inspire staff, engage members, and effectively manage resources to achieve and exceed business goals. You will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and collaborate closely with marketing and programming teams to deliver innovative fitness solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day club operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and member satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a high-performing team of fitness instructors, personal trainers, and front-desk staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive membership sales, retention, and ancillary service revenue.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budget management, cost control, and revenue forecasting.
  • Handle member inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and inventory control.
  • Organize and promote fitness programs, events, and challenges to engage members and attract new ones.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development sessions.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and service improvement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in gym or fitness club management.
  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development within the fitness industry.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in club management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of fitness trends, exercise science, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and operational KPIs.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Additional fitness certifications (e.g., Personal Training, Group Fitness).
  • Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing.
  • Bilingualism (English and other relevant local languages).
