Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their hair goals, preferences, and lifestyle, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Perform a full range of hair services including cutting, styling, blow-drying, colouring (highlights, balayage, full colour), perming, and various hair treatments.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation and ensure all tools and equipment are properly sterilised.
- Stay up-to-date with current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge, actively participating in training sessions and workshops.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Recommend and sell appropriate retail hair care products to clients, educating them on how to maintain their style and hair health at home.
- Manage client appointments efficiently and contribute positively to salon operations and team collaboration.
- Adhere to all salon policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist in a salon environment (minimum 2 years).
- Excellent cutting, styling, and colouring skills across a diverse range of hair types.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- A genuine passion for hairdressing and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a client-focused approach.
- Time management and organisational abilities to handle multiple appointments.
