As the Head of Finance, you will be instrumental in guiding critical financial decisions, ensuring sustainable growth, and optimizing financial performance. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, accounting operations, and compliance. A significant part of your role will involve developing sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, fundraising efforts, and investor relations. You will be expected to provide insightful financial reporting and analysis to the executive team and board, offering data-driven recommendations that drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and timely financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, fundraising, and investment decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, analyses, and presentations for the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
- Establish and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Lead due diligence processes for potential fundraising rounds, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and data-driven recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team as the company scales.
Required Skills
- Expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and financial modeling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in strategic financial management within a growth-oriented environment.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel and financial software (e.g., ERP systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- MBA or Master's degree in Finance.
- Prior experience as a Head of Finance, Controller, or Senior Finance Manager in a startup or technology company.
- Experience with fundraising and investor relations in a startup context.
- Knowledge of venture capital financing and SaaS metrics (if applicable to the startup's industry).
