Job Description

Are you a results-driven, visionary leader with a passion for building and scaling high-growth products from the ground up? Hiring.zycto, an ambitious and rapidly expanding tech startup, is seeking an exceptional Head of Growth to join our pioneering team in Hanlan’s Point, Toronto. This is a critical leadership role where you will be instrumental in defining and executing our overarching growth strategy, encompassing everything from user acquisition and activation to retention, referral, and monetization across our core product offerings.

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes data, possesses an innate understanding of user psychology, and has a proven track record of driving significant, measurable growth in a fast-paced startup environment. As our Head of Growth, you won’t just analyze; you’ll strategize, experiment, and implement. You will own the growth funnel end-to-end, identifying bottlenecks, uncovering new opportunities, and leading cross-functional initiatives with marketing, product, and engineering teams to accelerate our user base and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and own the comprehensive growth strategy across all channels and stages of the user lifecycle (acquisition, activation, retention, referral, revenue).
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing growth team, fostering a data-driven, experimental, and results-oriented culture.
  • Identify key growth levers and opportunities through in-depth market analysis, competitive research, and user behavior insights.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and experiments across product, marketing, and sales initiatives to optimize conversion rates and user engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives and product-led growth strategies.
  • Manage and optimize acquisition channels (paid, organic, viral) and budgets to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Implement robust analytics frameworks and reporting to track performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in growth marketing and product growth.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in growth marketing or growth product roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position within a startup.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully scaling user bases and driving revenue growth in a B2C or B2B SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and a comfort level with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with product-led growth (PLG) strategies and building viral loops.
  • Familiarity with specific industry verticals relevant to Hiring.zycto's market.
  • Prior experience with successful product launches and market penetration strategies.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and segmentation.
