Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults in heavy equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services on a variety of heavy machinery.
- Execute complex repairs and component replacements, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, and electrical systems.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals for proper diagnosis and repair procedures.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status and repair progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and new technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for heavy machinery systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
- Expertise with various hand and power tools common to the trade.
