Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism(s) to high school students (ages 11-18), aligning with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the development and review of curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
- Participate in pastoral care, mentoring students, and addressing their academic and personal needs.
- Collaborate effectively with department colleagues, school leadership, and parents/guardians.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of best practices in education and subject-specific advancements.
- Supervise extracurricular activities, school events, and field trips as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioural incidents.
- Adhere to all school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
- Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and ability to teach at various high school levels.
- Proven experience in classroom management and creating an effective learning atmosphere.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

- Master's degree in Education or relevant subject area.
