Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful and compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance, in clients' homes.
- Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, medication reminders, and running errands.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and accessing community resources.
- Accurately document services provided and report any changes in client condition or concerns to supervisory staff.
- Adhere strictly to care plans, company policies, and all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in home care, direct support, or a related field (minimum 18 months).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Proficiency in basic first aid and CPR (certification preferred upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or equivalent caregiving certification.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including cognitive, physical, or developmental disabilities.
