Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitisation of patient rooms, operating theatres, laboratories, public areas, and administrative offices.
- Empty and dispose of general and clinical waste according to strict hospital and environmental protocols.
- Execute dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing of all floor surfaces, ensuring hygiene and slip prevention.
- Clean and restock washroom facilities, ensuring adequate supplies are always available.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines and stringent infection control procedures.
- Operate various cleaning machinery (e.g., floor polishers, vacuum cleaners) safely and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or faulty equipment promptly to the appropriate department.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all designated areas at all times.
