Job Description

Are you a dedicated, meticulous, and reliable individual looking to play a vital, often unsung, role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety within a critical healthcare environment? Hiring.zycto is seeking a committed Hospital Cleaner for an immediate start in a crucial night shift position based in Old Trafford, Manchester. This isn’t just a cleaning job; it’s a fundamental contribution to patient well-being, infection control, and the overall smooth, efficient operation of a busy medical facility. The silent dedication of our night shift cleaning team is essential in preparing the hospital for the challenges and demands of each new day.

Working predominantly during the quieter hours of the night, your crucial tasks will ensure that every corner of the hospital environment is impeccably clean, thoroughly disinfected, and meticulously organised, ready for the next day’s patient admissions, consultations, and critical medical procedures. You will be responsible for upholding rigorous cleaning protocols across a variety of sensitive areas, ranging from patient wards and private rooms to bustling corridors, tranquil waiting rooms, administrative offices, and vital clinical areas. Your exceptional attention to detail will be paramount in preventing the spread of healthcare-associated infections, thereby creating a safe, sterile, and comforting space for patients recovering from illness or injury, anxious visitors, and the tireless medical staff alike.

This role demands not only reliability and a strong work ethic but also a deep understanding of the immense importance of your contribution to public health. You will be expected to work diligently and independently, manage your time effectively to cover all designated areas within your shift, and adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, including COSHH regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and comprehensive infection control procedures. While the work can be physically demanding, requiring regular standing, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment, it is immensely rewarding. You’ll gain satisfaction from knowing that your meticulous efforts directly support the life-saving work performed by doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals. If you are passionate about maintaining pristine environments, committed to public health, and are ready for a challenging yet incredibly fulfilling night shift opportunity where your precision and hard work are truly valued, we strongly encourage you to apply today. Join a team where your dedication makes a tangible difference every single night, supporting the health of the Old Trafford community.
