Hiring.zycto is urgently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Cleaners to join our teams within leading healthcare facilities in the L’Amoreaux, Toronto area. In this fast-paced and crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine conditions across various hospital zones, from patient rooms and surgical suites to waiting areas, offices, and common spaces. This includes rigorous disinfection of high-touch surfaces, proper waste segregation and disposal (including hazardous materials), floor care, and ensuring all areas meet stringent health and safety regulations. You will work with specialized cleaning agents and equipment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and standard operating procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens. Working collaboratively with other cleaning staff and hospital personnel, you will ensure seamless service delivery, responding promptly to cleaning requests and maintaining scheduled routines without disruption. Adherence to strict safety guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is paramount in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, operating theaters, waiting areas, and common spaces.
  • Disinfect high-touch surfaces, medical equipment (non-critical), and furniture according to established protocols.
  • Collect, segregate, and dispose of general and bio-hazardous waste following proper procedures.
  • Clean and maintain floors using appropriate methods (sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing).
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer in designated areas.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety guidelines, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to urgent cleaning requests.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
