Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in patient rooms, offices, public areas, and laboratories.
- Sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces, medical equipment, patient beds, and restroom facilities following strict infection control guidelines and procedures.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas, including handling of general waste, recycling, and biomedical waste according to established protocols.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer in restrooms and other designated areas.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or broken equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, health codes, and company policies, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings, events, or patient admissions/discharges as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of stairwells, elevators, and other common areas.
- Collaborate effectively with other cleaning staff, nurses, doctors, and hospital personnel to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Undergo and successfully complete all mandatory training and certifications related to hospital hygiene and safety.
