Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational, financial, and guest experience goals.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue generation strategies to meet profitability targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across all departments, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and national regulations, including health, safety, and employment laws.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with guests, staff, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Oversee maintenance, security, and facility management to ensure a safe and well-maintained property.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all significant hotel matters and represent the hotel within the community.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a General Manager or Assistant General Manager role for a full-service hotel.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, drive revenue, and achieve financial objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff development, motivation, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, sales, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience managing a luxury or boutique hotel property.
  • Knowledge of the Vancouver hospitality market.
  • Additional language proficiency.
  • Certification in hospitality management or a related discipline.
