Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement robust cleaning procedures, standards, and checklists, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure consistent quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and maintain inventory of supplies, linen, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest service and efficient resolution of issues.
- Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Implement sustainable practices and initiatives within the housekeeping department.
- Monitor staff performance, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hotel housekeeping and implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial housekeeping role, preferably within a boutique or luxury hotel.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining impeccable standards.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to hospitality.
