Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled HVAC technicians with installations, maintenance, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Prepare and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Perform basic tasks such as cleaning work areas, organizing tools, and ensuring site safety protocols are followed.
  • Learn to identify, handle, and safely use various HVAC tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Help with system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement as directed by senior technicians.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and workshop areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn new skills, accept feedback, and adapt to different tasks and environments.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A strong desire and aptitude for learning skilled trades, specifically HVAC.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in diverse environmental conditions (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, varying temperatures).
  • Commitment to workplace safety protocols and delivering quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a general labour, construction, or similar hands-on role.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and their appropriate uses.
  • Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety procedures (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights).
  • Enrollment or interest in an HVAC pre-apprenticeship program or vocational training.
