Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and Certified HVAC Technician to join our dedicated team in North Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic tests and inspections to identify and resolve complex system malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of HVAC equipment.
- Handle refrigerants responsibly, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to facilitate installation and repair processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining technical issues and solutions to clients.
- Document all service and repair work accurately, including parts used and hours spent.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and company policies during all assignments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades professionals as needed.
Required Skills
- Red Seal Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration certification (or equivalent)
- Gasfitter B certification (or equivalent)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a certified HVAC Technician
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of refrigerant handling, recovery, and charging procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
- Knowledge of hydronic systems and controls
- Experience working with variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour construction safety certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
