Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hydrologist – Environmental to join our growing team in LaSalle, Montreal. This critical role involves applying advanced hydrological principles to a diverse range of environmental projects, focusing on sustainable water resource management, watershed assessment, and climate change adaptation. As a Hydrologist, you will be instrumental in delivering scientifically sound solutions that protect and enhance natural aquatic ecosystems, ensuring compliance with evolving environmental regulations in Quebec and Canada.
Your work will span from detailed field investigations and data collection to sophisticated hydrological modeling and impact assessments. You will be responsible for analyzing complex hydrological and hydrogeological datasets, including precipitation, streamflow, groundwater levels, and water quality parameters, to identify trends, predict future conditions, and evaluate the effectiveness of proposed interventions. This includes the development and calibration of hydraulic and hydrological models for flood risk assessment, water balance studies, and the design of water management infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to integrate spatial data, develop mapping products, and enhance the visualization and interpretation of your findings.
A key aspect of this role involves preparing comprehensive technical reports, memos, and presentations for internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
