Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and advice to clients on U.S. immigration laws, policies, and procedures for various visa categories (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, E-2).
- Prepare, review, and file a wide range of immigration petitions and applications, including non-immigrant visas, immigrant visas, adjustment of status, and naturalization applications.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of client eligibility, documents, and supporting evidence to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations throughout the immigration process.
- Stay current with the latest developments in U.S. immigration legislation, policies, and procedural changes, and effectively communicate these updates to clients and colleagues.
- Liaise with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Labor (DOL), Department of State (DOS), and other government agencies as required.
- Maintain meticulous case files and records, utilizing immigration case management software to track progress and deadlines.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome complex immigration challenges and provide innovative solutions for clients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as an Immigration Advisor, Paralegal, or Consultant.
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and file various visa petitions and applications accurately and efficiently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in utilizing immigration case management software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- Experience working with a diverse international client base.
- Fluency in one or more additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi).
- Active membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., AILA).
