As an Insulation Installer Helper, you will work closely with experienced insulation professionals, assisting with all aspects of insulation installation in various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your day-to-day will involve a variety of tasks, from preparing job sites and handling materials to assisting with the cutting, fitting, and installation of different types of insulation. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers in preparing job sites, including clearing debris and protecting surrounding areas.
  • Handle, load, and unload insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, mineral wool, spray foam) onto job sites.
  • Help with cutting and fitting insulation materials according to specifications and measurements.
  • Support the installation process by holding materials, fastening insulation, and assisting with equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Learn and apply best practices for various insulation types and installation methods.
  • Perform general labour duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the installation team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a construction or general labour role (even if not insulation specific).
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Current WHMIS and Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
