Your day-to-day will involve a variety of tasks, from preparing job sites and handling materials to assisting with the cutting, fitting, and installation of different types of insulation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers in preparing job sites, including clearing debris and protecting surrounding areas.
- Handle, load, and unload insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, mineral wool, spray foam) onto job sites.
- Help with cutting and fitting insulation materials according to specifications and measurements.
- Support the installation process by holding materials, fastening insulation, and assisting with equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Learn and apply best practices for various insulation types and installation methods.
- Perform general labour duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the installation team.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
