Key Responsibilities

  • Install various types of insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, rock wool, rigid foam) in residential and commercial buildings.
  • Measure and cut insulation to fit specific dimensions and configurations, ensuring minimal waste.
  • Prepare work sites by setting up safety equipment, coverings, and organizing materials.
  • Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools relevant to insulation installation tasks.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, provincial building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the day.
  • Assist experienced installers with more complex installation procedures and project tasks.
  • Load and unload insulation materials and equipment from vehicles at various job sites.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of projects.

Required Skills

  • Strong work ethic and high level of reliability.
  • Ability to meticulously follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Basic understanding of general workplace safety principles (or willingness to learn immediately).
  • Excellent team player attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Punctuality and a strong commitment to attendance.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Previous experience in physically demanding roles or general labour.
  • Basic knowledge of construction sites or familiarity with common hand tools.
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification.
  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certification.
