Key Responsibilities
- Install various types of insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, rock wool, rigid foam) in residential and commercial buildings.
- Measure and cut insulation to fit specific dimensions and configurations, ensuring minimal waste.
- Prepare work sites by setting up safety equipment, coverings, and organizing materials.
- Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools relevant to insulation installation tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, provincial building codes, and industry best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the day.
- Assist experienced installers with more complex installation procedures and project tasks.
- Load and unload insulation materials and equipment from vehicles at various job sites.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of projects.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and high level of reliability.
- Ability to meticulously follow verbal and written instructions.
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of general workplace safety principles (or willingness to learn immediately).
- Excellent team player attitude and a collaborative spirit.
- Punctuality and a strong commitment to attendance.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Previous experience in physically demanding roles or general labour.
- Basic knowledge of construction sites or familiarity with common hand tools.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certification.
