Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Advisor to join our thriving team in Anderston, Glasgow. This pivotal role focuses on the seamless processing of insurance policies and claims, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service and robust coverage. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be the front-line expert, guiding clients through complex policy details, helping them understand their options, and providing essential support during the often-stressful claims process.

Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of responsibilities, from meticulously reviewing new policy applications and renewals to efficiently managing and settling claims. You will act as a crucial link between our clients, underwriters, and third-party adjusters, ensuring all communications are clear, concise, and empathetic. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on insurance policies to new and existing clients, tailoring solutions to their specific needs.
  • Process insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with policy terms.
  • Maintain comprehensive client records and policy documentation with strict adherence to data protection guidelines and internal procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, underwriters, and third parties to facilitate smooth policy administration and claims resolution.
  • Conduct thorough policy reviews and identify opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling appropriate insurance products.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA guidelines) and internal company policies.
  • Handle client inquiries, complaints, and service requests professionally and promptly, striving for first-contact resolution.
  • Prepare and present reports on policy performance and claims status as required by management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
  • Actively contribute to team efforts by achieving individual and departmental targets and fostering a positive work environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in insurance policy administration and claims processing, preferably within a client-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess claims and policy details accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, from data entry to document review.
  • Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, Dip CII).
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with a diverse range of insurance products (e.g., personal lines, commercial lines, life/health).
  • Familiarity with the Scottish insurance market regulations and local client base.
