Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate Interior Designer specializing in Space & Aesthetic Planning to join our thriving studio in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who possesses a keen eye for detail, an innate understanding of spatial dynamics, and a proven ability to translate client visions into breathtaking realities. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, developing, and delivering innovative interior design solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects, from initial client brief to final installation. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptualization and development of interior design projects from initial brief to completion.
  • Conduct detailed site surveys and analysis to inform space planning and design solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive design presentations, including mood boards, 3D renderings, and material palettes.
  • Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules using industry-standard software.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, suppliers, and external consultants.
  • Research and source furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and decorative items.
  • Oversee project installations and snagging, ensuring designs are executed to the highest quality.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and technologies to integrate innovative solutions into designs.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and ergonomics.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong client management and negotiation abilities.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines.
  • Acute attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D rendering software such as V-Ray, Enscape, or Lumion.
  • Membership in a professional design organization (e.g., BIID, SBID).
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of residential and commercial projects.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and materials.
