Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts, presentations, and detailed mood boards that capture client vision.
- Conduct virtual client consultations to thoroughly understand needs, preferences, functional requirements, and project scope.
- Produce detailed technical drawings, layouts, elevations, and specifications using industry-standard CAD software.
- Research, source, and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and finishes, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of design phases.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, artisans, and other design professionals as needed.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends, new materials, sustainable practices, and design innovations.
- Present design solutions to clients in a clear and compelling manner, incorporating feedback and revisions professionally.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, specifications, and procurement lists.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and other relevant design software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse interior design projects across residential and/or commercial sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable experience with space planning, colour theory, lighting design, and material selection.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional creativity, a keen eye for aesthetics, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently and productively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Membership in a recognized professional design organization (e.g., BIID, SBID).
- Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Corona Renderer).
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmentally friendly materials.
