Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation between English and at least one other language during various assignments.
- Facilitate effective communication in consecutive, and occasionally simultaneous, interpretation modes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards for interpreters.
- Conduct terminology research as needed to ensure precise and contextually appropriate interpretations.
- Adapt interpretation style and pace to suit the needs of speakers and the context of the conversation.
- Arrive punctually and prepared for all assigned interpretation sessions, whether on-site or remote.
- Provide cultural mediation to bridge understanding gaps beyond mere linguistic translation.
- Document interpretation sessions or activities accurately, if required by specific assignments.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in English and at least one other language (written and spoken).
- Proven ability to interpret accurately, clearly, and naturally.
