Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic construction team in Keelesdale-Eglinton West, Toronto. In the fast-paced world of construction, efficient inventory management is the backbone of successful project delivery. This pivotal role ensures that all construction materials, tools, and equipment are accurately tracked, stored, and readily available for our various projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the physical inventory within the warehouse and yard, ensuring proper labeling and storage practices.
  • Process material requests from various project sites, preparing items for dispatch and coordinating with logistics.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts to reconcile stock discrepancies.
  • Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move heavy items.
  • Maintain accurate digital records using inventory management software, ensuring all transactions are up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to forecast material needs and optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to warehouse operations and material handling.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related logistics role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and calculating inventory levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Experience with construction-specific inventory software.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
