Hiring.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic construction team in Keelesdale-Eglinton West, Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Organize and maintain the physical inventory within the warehouse and yard, ensuring proper labeling and storage practices.
- Process material requests from various project sites, preparing items for dispatch and coordinating with logistics.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts to reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move heavy items.
- Maintain accurate digital records using inventory management software, ensuring all transactions are up-to-date.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to forecast material needs and optimize stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to warehouse operations and material handling.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related logistics role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and calculating inventory levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification.
- Experience with construction-specific inventory software.
