Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inventory Clerk specializing in Cyclical Counts to join our robust operations team in Blake-Jones, Toronto. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records, a cornerstone of our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your daily mission will involve executing planned cyclical counts across various product categories, reconciling discrepancies, and identifying root causes for variances. This isn’t just about counting items; it’s about problem-solving, data analysis, and contributing to strategic inventory management. You will work closely with warehousing, logistics, and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels, prevent losses, and support timely order fulfillment. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices to perform counts, record data, and generate reports, ensuring all documentation is precise and complete. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cyclical counts of inventory in designated areas using established procedures.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes for variances (e.g., mispicks, damaged goods, incorrect receipts).
- Operate handheld scanners and update inventory data accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generate inventory reports and provide summaries of counting results to management.
- Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve issues.
- Maintain organized inventory locations and ensure proper product identification and labeling.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
- Assist in periodic full physical inventory counts as required.
- Suggest improvements to inventory control processes and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehousing, with a focus on cyclical counting.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for discrepancy reconciliation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite, especially Excel).
