Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, distributing, and shipping merchandise.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, movements, and forecast future needs.
- Identify and investigate inventory variances, implementing corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
- Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to optimize stock levels and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure proper organization and labeling of inventory within the warehouse/stockroom.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures.
- Assist in training new team members on inventory best practices and system usage.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., POS systems, ERP software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
