This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to launch a rewarding career in the skilled trades, even without prior experience. Hiring.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and physically capable Ironworker Helpers to join our growing team in Eastern Gap, Toronto. We believe in investing in our talent, and for this role, we are committed to providing comprehensive, hands-on training from day one. If you possess a strong work ethic, a keen willingness to learn, and the drive to build a career with your hands, we want to hear from you!
As an Ironworker Helper, you will be an integral part of our crew, assisting certified Ironworkers in all phases of steel erection and fabrication. Your role is crucial to the safe and efficient execution of projects, ranging from preparing materials and tools to assisting with the precise placement and securing of structural steel, reinforcing bars (rebar), and other metal components. This is a demanding but highly fulfilling position that offers a direct path to learning a valuable trade.
You’ll spend your days working outdoors, often at heights, in a fast-paced construction environment. Safety is paramount at Hiring.zycto, and you will receive thorough safety training and personal protective equipment. You will learn to interpret blueprints, understand different types of rigging, operate basic hand and power tools, and develop proficiency in various welding and cutting techniques over time. Our experienced Ironworkers will mentor you, sharing their expertise and guiding you through practical applications of the trade.
This “Will Train” position is not just a job; it’s a foundation for a long-term career. We encourage our helpers to pursue apprenticeship and certification, and we’re here to support that journey. If you’re tired of temporary roles and ready to commit to a career where your physical effort and mental acuity are valued, and where you can literally see the results of your hard work rising around you, Hiring.zycto is the place for you. Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Shape Toronto’s infrastructure with us!
