Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal.
  • Perform meticulous data entry and updates in the IT Asset Management (ITAM) system with asset details, configurations, and current locations.
  • Support the procurement, deployment, and retirement processes for IT assets, including physical tagging, serial number tracking, and secure disposal.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain compliance with company policies and vendor agreements.
  • Assist with preparing and configuring IT assets for new employees, including hardware setup and software installation.
  • Help manage software licenses, ensuring compliance, tracking usage, and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate effectively with IT support, finance, and other departments to facilitate asset requests, transfers, and resolve related issues.
  • Generate accurate reports on asset status, utilization, lifecycle metrics, and compliance as requested by management.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date documentation of IT asset management processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the ITAM framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, software, and processes.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts and terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or relevant coursework in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles or inventory management systems.
  • Experience with ticketing systems or helpdesk support is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Certification in ITIL Foundation or similar is a bonus, but not required.
