Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal users via phone, email, and chat, resolving IT issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Log, categorize, and prioritize all incoming support requests using our ITSM system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and software problems, including operating systems, productivity suites, and network connectivity.
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate second-line support teams, ensuring clear communication and smooth handover.
  • Document solutions, procedures, and frequently asked questions to contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Educate users on best practices for IT security and system usage.
  • Participate in scheduled system checks and basic network monitoring.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and develop IT skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A-Levels or equivalent in a technology-related subject.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory.
  • Experience with an ITSM ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Any relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation).
