Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral hardware problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365 suite, CRM tools).
- Manage user accounts and permissions across various systems, including Active Directory and cloud-based platforms.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
- Document IT processes, solutions, and create user-friendly guides to enhance self-service capabilities.
- Monitor helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring all support requests are logged, prioritised, and resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Participate in IT asset management, including tracking inventory, deployment, and decommissioning of equipment.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and security initiatives.
- Provide technical support for remote users, ensuring seamless access to company resources and tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role (minimum 2 years).
- Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with Active Directory user and group management.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Experience supporting macOS environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
