You’ll become intimately familiar with a diverse range of hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices, consistently applying your technical prowess to maintain their optimal functionality.

Beyond initial setup, a significant portion of your expertise will be dedicated to proactive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting. When a piece of hardware falters, you’ll be the first responder, employing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions with minimal disruption. This includes component replacement, firmware updates, and coordinating with external vendors for repairs when necessary. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware setup, configuration, and installation for new workstations, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures and software issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and essential business applications.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including tracking hardware assignments and lifecycle.
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users, addressing their IT queries and resolving incidents.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure network device health.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in the knowledge base.
  • Adhere to company security policies and best practices during all hardware and software deployments.
  • Liaise with external vendors for hardware repairs, warranty claims, and technical support when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with hardware setup, diagnostics, and repair for desktops, laptops, and servers.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
  • Experience with macOS and/or Linux operating systems.
