Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring of security alerts and logs for suspicious activities using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
- Participate in the initial analysis and triage of security incidents, escalating as necessary to senior analysts.
- Support incident response activities, including data collection and basic containment efforts.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and assist in reporting findings.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Help educate end-users on security best practices and awareness.
- Research emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities to stay current with the threat landscape.
- Perform routine security checks and audits of systems and applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives for the organization.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
