Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our dynamic sports clinic team in Playter Estates, Toronto. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to work within a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. You will be responsible for conducting thorough biomechanical and functional assessments, developing tailored exercise prescriptions, and providing hands-on coaching and supervision during therapy sessions. You will also meticulously document client progress, adapt programs as necessary, and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive kinesiologic and functional assessments to identify physical limitations, movement dysfunctions, and performance gaps.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized exercise rehabilitation and performance enhancement programs for a diverse client base.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group coaching, ensuring proper technique and motivating clients to adhere to their prescribed programs.
  • Educate clients on injury prevention, recovery protocols, proper exercise form, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate effectively with physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date client records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress, adjusting exercise programs and interventions as required to optimize outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of clinic workshops, educational seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of all clinical equipment and exercise areas.
  • Stay current with the latest research, trends, and advancements in kinesiology, sports science, and rehabilitation.

Required Skills

  • Registered Kinesiologist in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO).
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a sports clinic, rehabilitation centre, or similar setting.
  • Exceptional knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise prescription principles.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough functional assessments and develop tailored, evidence-based exercise programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively educate clients.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting various fitness and functional tests.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate certifications (e.g., CSEP-CEP, CSCS, Clinical Pilates, Functional Movement Systems (FMS)).
  • Experience with specialized rehabilitation techniques or modalities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
  • Background in competitive sports or athletic training.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
