Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients under supervision.
- Ensure kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery throughout shifts.
- Receive, organize, and store deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Safely operate and clean various kitchen equipment, such as mixers, slicers, and ovens.
- Support senior kitchen staff and chefs with various tasks as directed.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP principles).
- Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials.
- Maintain an organized and tidy work environment, including dry storage and refrigeration areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
