Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and sweeping/mopping floors.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently.
- Properly store food items and supplies, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines and rotation procedures.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage recycling according to established protocols.
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries, verifying contents against invoices.
- Support the culinary team during service, ensuring necessary items are readily available.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen functions and overall restaurant success.
