Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily cleaning tasks for all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, adhering strictly to hygiene standards.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils are impeccably clean and ready for use.
- Assist with the unloading and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and organised efficiently.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling, maintaining a tidy and sanitary back-of-house area.
- Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies, reporting any shortages to the management team.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling vegetables or fetching ingredients.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service operations.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and hygiene.
